Gary Leonard Oldman (né le 21 mars 1958) est un acteur, cinéaste et musicien anglais, bien connu du public pour ses portraits de personnages sombres et moralement ambigus. Il a joué dans Sid and Nancy, Prick Up Your Oars, JFK, Dracula, True Romance, Léon, The Fifth Element, The Contender, la série de films Harry Potter et la série de films Batman, ainsi que dans des émissions de télévision telles que En Tant qu'Amis et Anges Déchus. Oldman a pris de l'importance au milieu des années 1980 avec une série de performances qui a incité le critique de cinéma éminent, Roger Ebert, à le décrire comme «le meilleur jeune acteur britannique aux alentours». Il a été cité comme une influence par un certain nombre d'acteurs reconnus. En plus des rôles de premier plan et de soutien central dans les films hollywoodiens à gros budget, Oldman a souvent joué dans des films indépendants et des émissions de télévision. En plus de jouer, il a réalisé, écrit et co-produit Nil by Mouth, un film basé en partie sur sa propre enfance, et a été producteur sur plusieurs films. Parmi les autres récompenses, Oldman a reçu les nominations Emmy, Screen Actors Guild, BAFTA et Independent Spirit Award pour son travail d'acteur, et a été décrit comme l'un des plus grands acteurs jamais nommés pour un Oscar. Ses contributions au genre de science-fiction lui ont valu un Saturn Award, avec deux autres nominations. Il a également été nominé pour la Palme d'Or 1997 et a remporté deux BAFTA Awards pour son travail sur Nil By Mouth.
