Last updated: August 21, 2026 WHAT WE COLLECT, AND WHY To create an account: an email address and a password. The password is never stored in plain text. To identify you: a username, and, if you choose, a display name and a profile picture. To provide the service: what you add to your library, the episodes and movies you mark as watched along with their dates, your ratings, your reviews, your comments, your lists, and the people you follow. For display purposes: your language, theme, and appearance settings. For your security: the dates of your most recent logins, along with the browser and operating system used. NO IP ADDRESSES ARE STORED. The browser and operating system are sufficient to alert you to a login you don’t recognize, and they do not track your location. WHAT WE DON’T DO No ads. No ad trackers. Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. WHERE IT’S STORED Your data is hosted within the European Union. WHAT IS SHARED WITH THIRD PARTIES When you view a listing, the site queries a third-party service to obtain information about the work: the ID of the requested work is therefore sent to that service, without your identity. The same applies when you explicitly request a translation of a synopsis. None of these requests transmit your email address or username. WHO SEES WHAT Your viewing history, library, and line-by-line notes are private by default. You can use your preferences to decide who can see them: no one, only your followers, or everyone. What is public, if you choose to make it public: your reviews, your comments, your public lists, and the averages your ratings contribute to—without your individual ratings being visible. THE MOBILE APP A mobile app is currently under development and is now in the testing phase. It will use the same account and data as the website, and this policy will apply to it in the same way. YOUR RIGHTS In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, and transfer your data. Two of these rights can be exercised directly, without contacting us: the full export of your data and the deletion of your account, both available from your personal account. Deleting your account erases the associated personal data, subject to legal retention obligations. COOKIES The site sets a session cookie, which is necessary to keep you logged in, as well as a cookie that remembers your language and site appearance. No third-party advertising or audience measurement cookies are set.
